Cyclic Voltammetry

Research Page of David K. Gosser Jr.

Cyclic Voltammetry is uniquely powerful in that it can be utilized not only determine the fundamental electrochemical parameters (E, khet, and alpha) but also to probe the kinetics, equilibrium, and mechanism of chemical reactions subsequent to electron transfer. The goals of our research are to:

1. Push the analytical boundaries of Cyclic Voltammetry through simulation and regression;

2. Apply CV analysis to redox systems of biological interest;

3. Explore the inter-relationship between electron transfer and charge transfer in chemical reactivity and bonding.
